True to her love of ethnic art, Finela has explored Maori images extensively since living in New Zealand.  This is a painting of a carved paddle handle set against an abstract background.  The image & background are all of earthy colouring, & the contrast between Pollock-like splashed paint & surreal high-lit realism adds to the dynamism of this piece.
The artist is happy to revisit this style of work on a commission basis.  Your object, heirloom, piece of furniture etc can be done in this style.
